Crows are black everywhere...

http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/11/07/firefighter.payout.ap/index.html

It's prob the same story..a person sacrifices his life for the welfare of society, and then his dear ones are left to fight out with the bureaucracy to get something to make ends meet. Sad but true....

Anyways, one thing that comes out of all this is...tht crows are black everywhere...i wonder why people in India say that....this is India, my friend...it all happens here...

actually, no....it happens everywhere..corruption, red tapism,...and all bad things...happen virtually everywhere....or at least in this country which calls itself the best in the world....

I once read a big article and a big hulla gulla ..when Govinda was elected.....they said tht people had gone crazy....some people said...tht it was the typical 'Indian' mentality....

Absolutely stupid, i wud say....Govinda was prob elected to some MLA positioon...Come on....California voted Arnold as the Governor....now wasn't that some 'American' attitude.....

The thing probably is....tht we think low of ourselves...don't think of wht we are good at....always think that these ppl are the best....

of course..this country has opportunities...but i guess the difference is not due to any difference in attitude or culture...its simply our luck..tht we are one third their size and we house more than a billion people.......and thts the root of most of the problems....

This will continue....

Friday, as if it matters...

Another day goes by....

Somehow, it doesn't feel that bad if days just pass by, coz somewhere in your heart you know that every passing day gets u closer to going home, and on a longer term, very passing day brings u near the end of this MS life which is nothing but work work work

The big thing about university life is probably about the weekends. When u leave your work, or basically every American you meet on friday, you are asked plans for the weekends. Well, plans I do have, its the weekend, which means that I'll have some more time to do my assignments, if my clothes have reached a limit that laundry is an absolute emergency, well laundry is part of the plans too....and of course, some real fun-filled grocery and cleaning...quite an ideal weekend...

Today , I finally broke the shackles and sat for a 9-12 lecture, i guess it was beneficial , though the final will be the true test....

As I type, I see on my right, there is CS 585 submission today, and on one table across this room, there are about 10 people discussing, finding solutions...gosh..this is something you would remember all your life....

I am too tired today...well...I guess most of my blogs will contain the word tired.....so....be it :)

signing off..its 11: 13 on November 5,2004. That reminds me..Nov 5 was someone's birthday...i do remember..will send a card...

A tiring day

Wednesday Nov 3, 2004 6: 05 pm

My first blog, and seems like it is going to show one of my most common moods: frustrated

Nothing much, just that the day went off just like that. Just feeling tired right now, and more surprised coz I did not really do anything that would make me tired

Anyways, read on cricinfo today

'Why doesn't the Indian police leave Nicky Boje alone?'

and felt really angry....

First people do wrong, there are some good people who finally give so much effort and investigate, and when they try and catch the guilty to gain a further insight, people target them.

I sometimes feel, India is playing the goodie goodie . After all, it was India who uncovered it, and it was us who really bore the brunt, by banning a player as good as Ajay Jadeja. And these people, who 'admitted' to their crimes, have not been banned, and now, suddenly the entire country is after them. It's sad that the BCCI doesn't do anything in this.

Bush has won, I am not really rejoicing, not that I would have rejoiced if Kerry won, it is something that really doesn't affect me, nor was I allowed to affect the result, so it's like an absolute don't care, except for the fact that it was a good timepass yesterday, as people from both ends gave one readymade speech after another. I wonder how good a database they would be having. This one, if you are defeated, this one, if you know that you are gone, but should still let people know that you are fighting on, this one, if you know that the vote count is still going to take 2 hours, so the dramatic speeches are for the last minutes...

interestin....

I like blogs......
